Dozens of tornadoes have ripped through the south-east of the US, killing at least 259 people in seven states, in the deadliest twister outbreak in nearly 40 years.
Although the death toll is expected to rise, at least 162 people have already died in the hard-hit state of Alabama.
US President Barack Obama has announced he will visit Alabama - en route to a pre-planned Florida visit to watch a space shuttle launch - where dozens of tornadoes struck.
Whole neighbourhoods were flattened by the storms and tornadoes on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

We stand ready to continue to help the people of Alabama and all citizens affected by these storms.
The death of 15-month-old Angel Babcock of New Pekin, Indiana, brings the overall toll from Friday's storms to 39 across five states. Rescuers were still going door to door in rural areas in the hope of ruling out more deaths.
Angel was found after her family's mobile home was destroyed in the storms. Her father, mother and two siblings were killed.
When she arrived at the Kosair children's hospital in Louisville on Friday night she was opening her eyes -- a hopeful sign, the chief nursing officer, Cis Gruebbel, said.

The Big Tornadoes - Part 3 This is part three of three of the video "The Big (More) This is part three of three of the video "The Big Tornadoes" (that's not its original name, for whatever reason the producers of this videotape decided to rename it. The original title of this video was "Terrible Tuesday" and was made in 1984. The original title can be seen at the end since they didn't edit it there for some reason). This is a tornado safety film that focuses on the Wichita Falls, Texas tornado that occurred on April 10, 1979. This was an F4 tornado that was nearly a mile and a half wide.
Part three finishes up with the explanation of how spotters were able to help warn about the Wichita Falls tornado. Actual audio of the spotters from that day is heard and footage of the Wichita Falls tornado is also shown, along with stock footage of other tornadoes thrown in for dramatic effect. The aftermath of the tornado along with safety tips are also in this clip.
Anticyclonic also has a Wichita Falls tornado video, which has some rarely seen footage at the end:

I am going to attempt to identify all of the tornadoes used in this video. If I'm not 100% sure about a tornado I will add two question marks (??) to the right of it. If anyone knows which tornadoes those are, or if I've labeled any of the tornadoes wrong, please let me know so I can correct/update it.

The picture quality isn't the best because the videotape I captured this from is over ten years old and is quite worn, plus it runs in EP mode. I've cleaned up the video and sharpened it a little but the image quality is still rather poor. Also some of the footage was very dark and hard to see so I've brightened up the picture as much as possible without completely washing it out. (Less)
