03053 Howrah (HWH)- Lal Kuan (LKU) Inaugural Special headed by a blood red 22277 HWH shed WAP-4 blasts through Mirzapur Bankipur station on HB Chord enroute with the LPs greeting us with some beautiful honkings.. The train simply rampaged past the station at its alloted MPS of 110 km/hr even though the signal showed double caution. Such was the arrogance of the recently POH'ed HWH Wappie.
The train will start its permanent run from June 06 as 12353 Howrah (HWH)- Lal Kuan (LKU) Weekly Superfast Express, and will follow the Howrah- Burdwan- Asansol- Dhanbad- Gaya- Mughal Sarai- Varanasi- Pratapgarh- Rae Bareli- Lucknow- Bareilly- Rampur- Lal Kuan route of ER/ ECR/ NR/ NCR.

For the first time took a rids on a Pure LHB rake, and that too on the Upper Isle of India's first A.C. Double Decker Express. Full playlist will feature at:

As our 12385 Howrah (HWH)- Dhanbad (DHN) Double Decker Express headed by 20203 HWH shed WAP- 7 (ex.GMO) cruises through the Cheragram Block Hut on HB Chord enroute at approx 108 km/hr (confirmed by the digital board in the coach), we met the 12334 Allahabad City (ALY)- Howrah (HWH) VIBHUTI Superfast Express headed by WAP-4. It failed to get the proceed signal, because a bunch of Express, freights and EMUs were running in front of it. Sorry that I missed the first part of the train, as I was not aware enough. When trave;lling in an AC coach, you have to completely depend on the opposite signal for capturing crossings. But when the signal shows red, you become completely handicapped.
Meanwhile, the jovial TTE arrived to check our tickets. Since we had manual tickets, so the TTE wrote down our name, age, seat no. (which was self choiced) and ticket no. on his register copy. And also stamped his signature on our ticket.
