This video is set to the radio edit version of this song from my newest CD "Another Roll of the Dice". The censored and un-censored versions are available on iTunes and CDbaby.com
I have posted videos before. But those have been live performance videos.
This is my first "Concept" music video, were I am lip synching to the studio recording (just like the artists you see on MTV) :)
The video was shot and directed by Ken Jaedicke.
The concept was mine.
The song "Jesus Loves You" makes fun of rude and annoying people. But the video, pokes fun at people who are famous for nothing (Something that I keep seeing more, and more of in this crazy world of ours).
Rev Mark plays the arrogant celebrity whose only claim to fame is that he can blow a whistle (In real life, Mark is a talented musician who played bass on the original recording.
Alexis Dicus and Ken Jaedicke play the video crew who fawn and fuss over Mark, but completely ignore the guy playing the guitar who actually wrote the song.
Please leave ratings and comments. Subscribe to my videos........and remember, We all act like assholes from time to time........it's just that some of us do it more often than others.
JESUS LOVES YOU....EVERYONE ELSE THINKS YOUR AN ASSHOLE
NOW EVERYBODY GETS A BIT IMPAITIENT SOME TIMES
BUT TIMES LIKE THIS ARE THE EXCEPTION
MOST PEOPLE HAVE THE DECENCY TO WAIT THEIR TURN IN LINE THEY DON'T GIVE THE WRONG KIND OF IMPRESSION
YOU MAY THINK THAT IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU
BUT THERE'S OTHER PEOPLE LIVNG HERE TOO
JESUS LOVES YOU
BUT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE
NOW PEOPLE CAN BE RUDE I KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE
BUT MOST PEOPLE CHILL OUT IF YOU LET THEM
BUT IT SEEMS TO MANY TIMES THAT I'VE HAD TO DRAW THE LINE
AND SHUT YOUR STUPID MOUTH WHEN IT'S LEFT OPEN
YOU MAY THINK THAT IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU
BUT THERE'S OTHER PEOPLE LIVNG HERE TOO
JESUS LOVES YOU
BUT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE
YOU CAN CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN
IT CAN MEAN THAT YOUR FORGIVEN
IT'S NOT A PASS TO DO WHAT YOU WANT TO
IT DON'T MAKE STEALING RIGHT - OR CHEATIN ON YOUR WIFE
DONCHA THINK THE GOOD LORD ISN'T WATCHING
YOU MAY THINK THAT IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU
BUT THERE'S OTHER PEOPLE LIVNG HERE TOO
JESUS LOVES YOU
BUT THEN AGAIN...I GUESS HE HAS TO

I Will Follow You Into the Dark" is the third single from Death Cab for Cutie's album Plans. It is an acoustic ballad performed solo by frontman Ben Gibbard. It was released to radio in June of 2006, and has a music video directed by Jamie Thraves, best known for his video for Radiohead's single "Just." The video for the song was filmed in Romania.
In the video, Gibbard is going through his everyday life in a small home when he notices a hole in the wooden floor. As the song progresses, the hole gets bigger and he eventually falls into it, only to discover that what he thought was a black void is actually solid ground. As he walks off into the distance beyond the hole, then the hole is gone, the song ends.
Another video, directed by Monkmus, appeared on the band's DVD accompanying Plans: Directions: The Plans Video Album but was never aired on television. In this video, a picture-book takes up the center of the video frame, and the pages turn as the song progresses. Within the book, two rabbits meet and fall in love. Time passes, possibly months or years, until one of the rabbits apparently dies. There are other references to death throughout the video, such as a rotten bowl of fruit and an elderly man who appears to die, leaving grandson behind. The video ends with a picture of the two new rabbits together.
The song was nominated for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards.
The song has been covered by Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls and Amy Millan, among others. It was also featured on the soundtrack on the 2007 film The Invisible. (Less)
