Former member Killa C was featured on their first self-titled album, but soon left the group after charges of drug possession and failing to register as a sex offender. As of November 27, 2007, Diamond is no longer a member of Crime Mob They are best known for their 2004 chart topping single "Knuck If You Buck," which was produced by Lil' Jay. Crime Mob took their name from a gang located in the Ellenwood area [1], southeast of downtown Atlanta, Georgia.
In January 2006, Killa C, aka Christopher Henderson, was arrested on child molestation charges. The arrest stemmed from an incident in 2000 involving Killa C sexually molesting his then six year old brother. He plead guilty to the aforementioned charges in May 2005 and was sentenced to 5 years probation. When arrested in 2006, Henderson was charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine in addition to failing to register as a sex offender in accordance with Megan's Law.[2] Since the arrest, "Free Killa C" t-shirts have been spotted in music videos, including "Rock Yo Hips."
Crime Mob has produced several mixtapes. They are: Mob Shit with DJ Scream, Gangsta Grillz Bitch Musik with Don Cannon, Big Mike and DJ Scream, and Lil Jay on the Track Presents...Fight and Shoot: The Mixtape presented by Lil Jay on the Track and Jay Werks production.
Their current single, "Rock Yo Hips", is from their second album Hated On Mostly. The video for "Rock Yo Hips" depicts a fictional Crime Mob College, set to resemble a historically black college. The song featured BME rapper Lil Scrappy as the college's dean. Hated On Mostly has spawned two other hits, including "Wuz Up," which features Bohagon and Fabo, and "Circles."
Member Princess plan to release an album separate from the rest of Crime Mob, called "Class is in Session."
