Delhi rape case: Cop arrested, dismissed In second such incident this month, a minor girl was raped in a moving car yesterday (April 24) (More) In second such incident this month, a minor girl was raped in a moving car yesterday (April 24) allegedly by a traffic constable and a property dealer. The 12-year-old girl, a resident of Nangalpuni, was dragged into a car allegedly by Sanjeev Rana, the constable, and property dealer Naresh Mann at around 2:30 pm near Shahbad Dairy locality in outer Delhi. Following the incident, the Delhi constable Sanjeev Rana was dismissed by the Delhi Police and was sent to 14 days' judicial custody by the Rohini Court.
Following this shocking incident in the capital, people around the nation expressed anger and agitation over the raise in number of crimes in Delhi. Speaking exclusively to TIMES NOW the Union Women and Child Development Minister -- Renuka Choudhary said that a rape of a 12-year-old girl by a police is shocking. She said that she will seek the President's help in getting the accused out of uniform.
The duo allegedly raped the girl in the moving car and dumped her at the same spot from where they picked her up, a senior police official said. The girl reached her home and informed parents who took her to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital.
A medical examination confirmed rape, the official said that adding the constable and property dealer were arrested on the basis of the compliant filed by the girl's parents. The doctors said that the condition of the girl is out of danger.
The constable has been placed under suspension, the official said. Soon after the two accused were arrested, the family members of one of the accused Naresh Mann stormed the Swaroop Nagar Police station where both Sanjeev Rana and Naresh Mann were lodged and demanded their immediate release. Naresh Mann's wife cried out loud that her husband was innocent and threatened self-immolation if the police did not release him.
Reacting to the shocking case, Former Joint Commissioner of the Delhi police -- Maxwell Perriera has demanded that the guilty should be dealt eith to set an example. He said such police officials should be handled without any mercy.
In a similar case of minor being raped, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three persons known to her on April 3 in Jhwala locality of the capital. This is the eighth case of rape reported in the national capital this month. In April 2008, three police personnel were accused of gang-raping a 17-year old girl in a high security zone of Ludhiana district in Punjab. Three years ago, the infamous cop Sunil More, raped a 17 year old collegian along one of Mumbai's busiest roads, Marine Drive.
According to Delhi Police statistics, in 98.28 per cent of the 581 rape cases registered in 2007, the accused were known to the victims and had been interacting with the victims in normal course of the life.
Confession by the rapist
TIMES NOW has acquired the confession statement of the rapist -- Sanjeev Rana, whose statement was recorded by the police after the constable was arrested.
In his confession, Rana said:"I am Sanjeev Rana, posted with the Traffic Line Teen Murti Lane Traffic Police, aged 35. Yesterday (April 24) at around 12:30 pm, I left my residence to meet my friend Naresh Mann in Alipur. I reached Alipur at 1:PM in my car. We then decided to go to Swaroop Nagar since we both have a property related business.
When we reached Nangli Poona, we spotted the girl. I told Naresh to slow down the car. The girl was alone. I enquired about her and she told us she was waiting for her parents.
I lured her on the pretext of giving her a lift in an A/C car. We then took the car to a desolated spot and I asked Naresh Mann to go out of the car and then raped the victim. After a while, Naresh assaulted her, while I stood out. We then went back to the Swaroop Nagar and threatened her with dire consequences, if she narrated the incident to her parents.
We dropped the girl near a temple thinking she was unconscious. After half an hour, our car was stopped by the Delhi Police and we were arrested on charges of rape. (Less)

I should not have answered the door and would not have, except they kept coming back and calling my spouse at her place of employment. I urge you not to answer the door or go near it if they come to your home without a warrant. I would not answer the phone when they called. I wanted to get them on video if they forced their way into my home and life, which they did obviously force themselves into my life.
The regime is obviously sick. I encourage we do not support their military efforts and their world conquest. They do not represent us, the humane humans. Their goal is control of the world and wealth. They steal oil from every nation they conquer, including stealing oil from Mobile Bay in Alabama and selling the poor Natural Gas Contracts.
We should applaud when the regime falls, democrat, repubulican, and those other bought out political groups.
The bottom line is, protect yourself, protect your young. We are in a technological war for survival and they do not protect us. Their open meetings laws mean nothing, therefore the removal of their closed regime is tolerated and applauded by Mobile Audit Club and the lower caste who are outcast by the regime in power. I must ask also, if someone broke into my home and raped me, "Did you remember to eat my shit?" "Go to Hell is the message, and if you do not believe in Hell, may the humane humans create one for you".
Never again serve the regime in power. Give their victims shelter. Their victims are the humane humans defending their homes, whether in LA, NY, or Alabama or Iraq, or Kuwait, or Afghanistan.
