DeBeers - "Morning Surprise" 2006 Christmas Commercial How can I tell you
That I love you
I love you
I long to tell you
That I'm always thinking (More) How can I tell you
That I love you
I love you
I long to tell you
That I'm always thinking of you
I'm always thinking of you
But I can't think of the right words to say
Song: How Can I Tell You
Singer/Song Writer/Guitarist: Cat Power*(A.K.A. Charlyn "Chan" Marshall)
(Original lyrics by Cat Stevens**)
*Cat Power as the singer has been confirmed by both Debeers and Matador Records(Cat's record label). I repeat, this is NOT sung by Regina Spektor, Liz Durrett, Feist, Cat Stevens, etc.
**Cat Stevens is what many would consider the unbathed-monotone-awkward Justin Timberlake of the 60's. Jokes aside, After going triple platinum, Rolling Stones magazine published a comment from a fellow musician that said Stevens was an anti-semite, and (Stevens) would not perform in a show with him because he was jewish; Stevens sued the infant-stage magazine for libel, in which, they promptly retracted, and settled out of court. Shortly After the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes during the Munich Olympics, Stevens converted to Islam, taking the name Yusuf Islam, and since has publicly announced his support in the legitimicy of Islamic terrorism; Stevens, a then popular muslim-fundamentalist celebrity after falling out of the music scene, had also publicly agreed with the call for the death of Salmon Rushdie(a Booker Prize winning author, who spoke out against Muslim-extremism in the 80s) on several occassions. The FBI labels Stevens as a financier of the Palestinian Islamic terrorist group Hamas, and remains on the No-Fly list to this day.
Buying his music indirectly funds terrorism. Only a really pathetic pretentious moronic loser, would support this murder-of-innocents supporting anti-semitic EVIL jackass.
Buy Cat POWER's version instead. Cat Steven's version of this song sounds like a rotweiler giving birth, so you can just skip it. "Woaho Woaho Woaho"
On a brighter note:
Liz Durrett has the closest sounding version, and on mp3 share-networks, her version is often mislabeled as Cat Power leading people to think her version is Cat's at-long-last-released full version, which is false.
If anybody has this EXACT song on mp3(Cat Power - How Can I Tell You), please email me(lucanaoe@yahoo.com), private message me, or leave a comment. I know this cover song isn't out yet, and there isn't any word of it ever being out, but if it does come out... I WANT IT! :-) Thanks! (Less)
