Resident Evil 4 (PC) Hunk vs Village Chainsaw Maniac - Pro
As part of my upcoming professional mode "Burly Brawl" movies and, having installed a HUNK (More) As part of my upcoming professional mode "Burly Brawl" movies and, having installed a HUNK skin replacement for Leon (details below), I decided to try my hand at a knife only village run vs Dr.Salvador and the Ganados you encounter at the beginning. Seeing as people seemed to like my Leon vs Chainsaw Maniac(s) movie during my normal mode campaign, I took note of comments where people suggested I try with just the knife. I remember doing so later on in Normal mode and had my ass handed to me, usually not by Dr.Salvador, but throw projectiles and random Ganados grappling me continuously. I pretty much gave up for quite some time and worked on other projects, but now that RE4 Modding is on the uprise for the PC version I went back to the game with a vengeance now that it can be tweaked and made more interesting, so I started a professional mode campaign and got cracking. Without using any bullets at the start bar one or two for killing crows (to get grenades) I made a hasty run to the Village. Now, admittedly, it took quite a lot of tries to actually do this - About 5-6 runs involved me getting hacked to shreds by Mister Salvador himself before I adapted to how aggressive all the mobs in Pro actually are, and the fact that you start off with so little health again. While this run is FAR from perfect, I was never one for doing things for the sake of doing them flawlessly - It's nice for me to just say I did it - And now that I've done it, I know I can get better from here. I've seen videos of people clearing the entire village (Including Dr.Salvador) flawlessly with the knife, without taking any damage, usually by keeping the Ganados all rounded up together in a circle and running around them constantly in order to avoid thrown axes / sickles easier while looking for good openings, but thanks to playing via the PC Keyboard my reactions are pretty rusty as it's awkward to control such fancy moves, so I decided to take my own tactic and keep on the move back, forth and around buildings to try and spread the Ganados around the map often too far away to throw anything - Because Salvador is faster, he'd catch up, I'd take a stab at him then nail as many Ganados as I could while Salvador is on his ass on the ground (To try get that annoying cut-scene out of the way when you kill many Ganados showing more spawning and running to the village). I swallow a lot of damage, some due to not being aware of Ganados positions and getting suprised, once or twice due to bad taunting, and once or twice by projectiles, so I waste a lot of herbs and a spray along the way - But still, for a first full knife run I'll assume I did ok, seeing as I at least survived. No bullets, grenades or any other weapon was used during this flick.
