I've been running, trying to be one who sees
I've been working, this salvation out on my knees
There is nothing better than knowing
We are redeemed
I'm believing trusting in creative hands,
I am praying for our world to bow to your plan
And this one thought is unmistakable
I take up my cross and follow you Lord
When you stand the tall trees and mountains bow
When you speak the fiercest of oceans is still
And I see the sinner seek devotion
The lost become chosen, and I fall to my knees
I'm forgiven, my savior who did not deserve death
He was blameless and I was lost in shamefulness
I'm delivered, but it doesn't seem right
Unless I keep my eyes focused on the savior who gave his live
In the middle of a world that denies it believes
It is breaking apart at the very seams
There is one thing to be alive for
And it's to take up my cross and follow you Lord
When you stand the tall trees and mountains bow
When you speak the fiercest of oceans is still
And I see the sinner seek devotion
The lost become chosen, and I fall to my knees, and I fall to my knees
I will take up my cross and follow Lord where you lead me
And I will take up my cross and follow wherever you go
I will take up my cross and follow Lord where you lead me
And I will take up my cross and follow wherever you go
When you stand the tall trees and mountains bow
When you speak the fiercest of oceans is still
And I see the sinner seek devotion
The lost become chosen, and I fall to my knees
When you stand the tall trees and mountains bow
When you speak the fiercest of oceans is still
And I see the sinner seek devotion
The lost become chosen, and I fall to my knees, and I fall to my knees, I fall to my knees, I fall to my knees (Less)

About Harry:
•Harry Heron's mother passed away in 1917 when he was five years of age.
•Jenny Stoneham had been their house keeper -- she met the challenge of taking on the care of Harry and his three older brothers after their mother passed away.
•As a Salvationist, Jenny Stoneham took Harry and his siblings to The Salvation Army Flint Citadel Corps.
Percy Bell:
•Taught Harry Heron to play the piano
Mark Reese:
•Addicted to alcohol, stood at the Open Air Service of The Salvation Army on Saginaw Street one Sunday night -- the next day the conviction of the Holy Spirit was so strong that Mark knelt at his Buick Plant workplace and gave his life to the Lord.
•Mark Reese became a Salvation Army Soldier -- a bandsman -- Young Peoples Band Sergeant -- devoting himself to teaching many boys and girls spiritual truths as well as musical skills. Mark Reese invested time and effort to teach Harry how to play the baritone and to influence his life in a profound manner.

•Sam Monk gave 34 years of dedicated service to the youth of Flint Citadel as Young Peoples Band Leader -- making a spiritual impact on Harry Heron's early years.
Harry Heron:
•Harry grew up in the Flint Area experiencing many educational and vocational opportunities including General Motors and General Motors Institute (now known as Kettering University).
•Harry's adult life took him to California where he became involved in banking and real estate
•At a point in Harry Heron's semi-retirement life -- he began to think back to his roots in Flint, Michigan -- realizing the importance that several individuals played in those early years.
•To thank God for all the blessings that Harry had received over the years -- and in his own words, "I did not know it at the time, however as I matured, got married and raised a family of three sons, that the years of my youth in the Salvation Army set a pattern of fulfillment in my church and my association with people in all the changes I experienced in my working years. For that association and what it has meant to me, I am most thankful."
Harry Heron Flint Citadel Music Endowment:
•To honor Jenny Stoneham, Percy Bell, Mark Reese, and Sam Monk for their devotion to Harry and his brothers, he has established this Endowment to provide Music Camp Scholarships, new instruments, purchase music and other supplies for the Youth Instrumental and Vocal Programs at Flint Citadel -- as well as investing in the ministry of the Flint Citadel Band. Harry has also given special support to the Divisional Youth Band.
