I had some writer's block and other stuff going on.] Chapter 10- "I can't believe how stupid he is being", Kevin said as he turned off of Leah's street. "He'll come around. You know how crazy things got between Leah and him", Nick said. Kevin shook his head. The rest of the ride back to the studio was silent. When they arrived and walked inside the girls were dancing. Kevin saw Steph off to the side sitting with her crutches. He had known Steph, since the Best of Both Worlds tour, but hadn't talked to her since it was over. "What happened to you", Kevin said. Steph looked up at him and grimaced. "I sprained it", Steph said pointing towards her ankle. "That sucks. Do you have to stay here?", Kevin said. "Well, I have to watch the dances. I am sure I won't come to every practice now", Steph said. She had missed Kevin. They hadn't talked in almost a year, so it was good to see him again. "Oh. So how is life?", Kevin asked her. "It's good. How about you?", Steph asked him. "It's good. I'm bored a lot though. Taking breaks isn't my thing", Kevin said. He was smiling up at her before he realized he didn't know how long the music had been off. He looked up to see Lindsey sitting next to him. She didn't have a pleasant look on her face, but he could tell she wasn't angry. He wrapped an arm around her and leaned her in. They were sitting there when she realized that she was kind of hungry. "If I give you some cash will you drive to Mcdonald's and buy me some food?", Lindsey asked. "Yes, but you don't have to give me any money", Kevin said. He hopped up and went over to Nick to see if he wanted to come. Of course, he wanted to spend as much time with Ali as possible, so Kevin would be flying solo. "Hey, I'll go with you", Steph said as Kevin was walking out. "K, lets go. Lindsey what do you want?", Kevin yelled to her across the room. "Umm, a Big Mac", Lindsey said. Kevin laughed as he walked out the door. He helped Steph into the car and then climbed into the drivers side. They pulled up into the drive through because Kevin knew they would never leave if he went inside. Then again, they may never leave if they stayed in this line. "This is LA for you", Steph said. She could tell that Kevin was aggravated by the long line. "True True", Kevin said. "So, you and Lindsey? ", Steph asked. "What about us?", Kevin said. He looked over at her. She was staring at him, so when he turned her way, her words got stuck in her mouth. She coughed a little before she remembered what she was going to say. Kevin smiled to himself. "How did that happen?", Steph asked. "It just did. I didn't expect to fall in love", Kevin said. "Love? That's a big word", Steph said. She looked out the window and sighed. "It's also a strong feeling and I don't believe I have ever felt this way about someone before", Kevin said. He couldn't believe how open this conversation was. Sure, he had gone to dinner with Steph, but it was a big group. They had never really talked before, so why did he feel like had known her forever. "Well that's a start, but that doesn't mean that it's love", Steph said. Kevin didn't speak. He knew he wasn't sure if it was love either, but there was something about Lindsey that had a hold on him and wouldn't let him go. "I know", Kevin said. Steph looked at him with a confused look. He stared at her back and didn't look away. "So, how can you say that you love her, especially to her face?", Steph asked. She wasn't sure if she had taken the conversation to far. It really wasn't her place. Her and Lindsey weren't really even friends. She looked out the window after Kevin didn't answer. He pulled up to the order box and ordered Lindsey's Big Mac. After the employee calculated his total. He pulled up a little farther and waited for the rest of the long wait to be over. "I'm sorry Kevin", Steph said after he was done ordering. "No, don't apologize. If anything you made me see some things that I have been avoiding", Kevin said. "Well, I shouldn't have pushed it", Steph said "Don't worry about it", Kevin said. He pulled up to the last window and got Lindsey's food. He pulled out of the parking lot and into the road. They drove back to studio in silence. When they got there, Kevin pulled back into his parking space and turned off his jeep and sighed. "Kevin, just so you know. Lindsey is a lucky girl. You are a great guy", Steph said. She turned and faced Kevin, who was leaned in closer then she expected. "Thanks", Kevin said.
