Star Ocean 3 (JPO)- Gameplay Sample This is a small gameplay sample of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. This is the original, Japanese (More) This is a small gameplay sample of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. This is the original, Japanese version of Star Ocean 3, and there are many differences between it and the Director's Cut version we are all familiar with. I'm going to try and put up gameplay videos in the future showing off these differences, in addition to boss videos (at least, sometime in the future...)
Major differences to note in this video:
-Nel cannot use Symbology (or Heraldry in this version)! That's right, no more healing in between battles with Nel any more.
-The Symbology and Skills menu are a part of one tab in the camp menu in this version. I think it's a bit more comfortable being in two different slots, personally.
-No Cancel Bonuses! That's right, you do not receive a damage increase by chaining your Battle Skills in this version. However, many certain Battle Skills are much more powerful in this version. Because of the addition of Cancel Bonuses in the Director's Cut, many of these skills were altered or down-powered. In particular, Nel's Flying Guillotine and Roger's Star Fall are part of the reason I chose them this playthrough.
-There are only six playable character slots! Mirage isn't a playable character, and Adray doesn't even exist in this version (they were both bonus characters added to the Director's Cut). That leaves four slots for the mandatory characters, and two of Nel, Roger, Peppita (Souffle in this version) and Albel.
That's about all I can think of for this video. Oh, and please excuse my poor performance in battle, due to the time delay and what-not. Don't worry, I'll get that Red Dazzle eventually. (Less)
