Yep, the head cheerleader can be striped searched at school by the principal in some jurisdicitons, as long as it's not by a teacher. Corporal punishment is a whole other beast though. So, the administrators can tell them to take off their clothes, then have them put them back on for a good spanking...A strip search differs from a manual-cavity-search cuz only a medical professional at a correctional facility can do this, and they must have permission from a judge. But in some circumstances permission could be granted simply because you refused the visual search. BTW, a security guard at the local Walmart or Target cannot strip search you. If you empty your pockets, it's your choice. They can detain you until the police arrive, or, only if they are an actual police officer, they can perform a pat down. Speaking of pat downs, NO they cannot legally run their hands or fingers over your genitals, bottom, or breasts. No they cannot legally run their fingers in the inside lining of your undergaments, nor can they lift your bottom with thier finger legally. The cops who do this are perverts getting their grope on, and you should fall to the ground screaming and crying if they do this, and tell everyone why you are doing this. Strip searches are to be in a private room, affording the most privacy possible. But how often do you think that this is done, and how often do you think more than one guard is present? And how often do you think that this is used as punishment in the form of public humiliation, or daily harassment by guards and other officials? Really, the biggest question is, if I'm hiding a Vlastic pickle up there, how is any amount of bending and coughing, or showering in full view of a guard gonna cause that pickle to come whirling out unless I let it? Stop laughing, this is serious. The humiliation starts well before anyone is convicted of the crime btw, so if you are ever arrested for anything, prepare to get bukked naked, with your former high school bully now ordering you to take off your drawers while other guards and prisoners walk by. Juveniles are not spared the humiliation either. At a time when most are especially sensitive about their bodies, they are made to undress in front of strangers and shower in full view of their peers. Is there any question that this is one of the factors contributing to the fact thst most are more emotionally numb when they leave a correctional facility, even after just a 1 hour stay for a simple arrest for speeding? We go from controlling who sees us naked our entire lives to suddenly being told to bend over and spread em. The emotional trauma and scarring from this is inescapably devastating. The electronic technology that would make these so-called procedures unnecessary have existed forever, with backscatter x-rays already in use at some facilies. Why are we still making people take off their clothes? Certainly it's not because somebody gets off on forcing nervous teenagers and adults to undress 1 item at a time?
