Moments later, Susan sees a distraught Emily, who runs off, saying she can't help. Lucinda assures Holden she'll take care of Dusty, as Tom tells Margo that Chris must have left the party. Soon, Lucinda finds Dusty on the floor and Emily at his side. In a panic, Lucinda brings Tom, Margo and a resident to Dusty and Emily. Susan finds them, and she and the resident try to resuscitate Dusty, to no avail. A stunned Margo then calls the PD to notify them of Dusty's death.
Margo questions Emily, who says she just found Dusty while wandering. Meanwhile, Chris tries to take part in the ME's examination, which Tom discourages. Susan reminds Emily that she saw her coming from the crime scene before Lucinda saw them there. When the ME shows Margo a puncture wound on Dusty's body, she realizes that Dusty was murdered. Later, Evan tells Chris that he heard about Dusty's death, saying that without Dusty, things should go more smoothly. Emily enters the church and gets down on her knees, sobbing and begging for forgiveness.
Holden gets Lily to reveal what she's hiding in her hand - a syringe. He demands to know where Lily got the syringe from, and if she injected herself with it. But then, Susan sees Holden looking on the drug cart to figure out what the syringe contained. Holden informs Luke that Lily accidentally OD'd, as Lucinda arrives to break the horrible news of Dusty's death. Then, Lily awakens and tells Holden that Dusty is dead. As Luke vents to Noah about his disappointment in his family, Holden wipes Lily's prints from the syringe. Lily then reaches out for Holden's hand, and he swears to her that he'll take care of everything. (Less)
