It includes popular alternatives to traditional telephone service, such as cellular telephones and paging services. As a Telecommunications Technology graduate, you could have a variety of job responsibilities, from installing and testing to troubleshooting and repairing communications systems. Telecommunications technicians also work with cable television equipment, radio equipment, control towers, powerhouses and substations.
