Katja: Yesterday night emotions ran high in and around Forest National in Brussels, because that was the place where the German poprockband Tokio Hotel was having the kickoff of their new European Tour. The fans were already in line there since Thursday, just to get the best spot, with, as usual, a whole lot of screaming teenage girls in the front rows. Peter Van De Veire (from radio Studio Brussel) got an intervieuw, which is exceptional. He asked questions he got from his auditors, and took a closer look at the phenomenon Tokio Hotel. Peter: Yes, you can hear it, i'm standing here in front of Forest National amongst thousands of screaming girls, they are all here for Tokio Hotel, and they have been waiting here for hours. And I can just go and be with the guys, in one little room, to ask questions for Studio Brussel (radiostation) . I'm very curious if it is actually worth it, if the hype is true. My German is not so good.. So i'm gonna do it in English. Some girls are here since thursdaymorning. Can you imagine that ? Tom: Yes, that's kinda weird. We passed by yesterday, because we were already here for a while, and it looked like a camping out there. There are already a lot of people here and that's, yeah thats very good, very impressing. Especially when you think of it, it's cold outside and stuff. Very good, we are looking forward to it. Peter: At Studio Brussel we discovered them thanks to our auditors. And especially the girl-auditors, they just started mailing things like 'Hey guys, isn't it about time you play something of Tokio Hotel?', and we were like Tokio- eh Tokio whatata ? We had never heard of it. So we had to look it up ourselves somewhere. But yeah, really, this is something that the guys made theirselves. I think it's really good. It's just perfect popmusic. It's played very good, it's safe rockmusic.. And it just fits them perfectly. When was the last time you guys cried together ? What colour should a banana have ? Who's farts are the most noisy ones ? (I have no idea why he asked these stupid questions but the guys didn't seem very pleased with them xD) Christel from Moerbeke-Waas, she's 44 years old and a big fan of yours. And she wanted to know if there was any chance if she could get a one-night-stand with you. And her husband said it's okay. Tom&Bill&Gustav: Ohh! Tom: Okay, then it's no problem.. But 44, it's not really my age category.. Peter: He sounds feminine, and if you see him and the way he acts and stuff, he looks kinda feminine. But it's just that that makes him so charming, he's so androgynous, and that makes him even more mysterious and attractive to all those young girls who dream of him at night. Peter: Can I ask you something ? Girl in the front: Yes ! Peter: Explain this to me; What makes Tokio Hotel so good ? Girl in the back: EVERYTHING ! Girl in the front: Especially the music ! Peter: I totally understand it that there's this big hype about them, about a band like this, this are for young boys who look really good, who absolutely enjoy everything that they are doing in this job, and they totally transfer that to their fans. And, just the guy's hair alone ! I mean.. I got a chance to touch it and that was funny. Peter: Can I touch it ? Bill: No. *laughs* Peter: I can't touch it ? Why not ? Bill: Umm.. uh.. uhh.. Yeah you can touch it, it feels quite normal actually. You shouldn't comb it too often, and use as much hairspray as you can possibly use! Peter: I think Tokio Hotel is an unbelievably interesting sociologic phenomenon. I mean, from my point of vieuw, with this job i'm doing, I think it's fantastic to see what's happening with them and stuff. But, I don't think that I, as a fifteen year old, would've bought their CDs.. Katja: Phenomenous hairdo ! That was Tokio Hotel yesterday night in Forest National, and they will still be touring for the next two months in Europe. Sunday Juli 13th they will appear at Werchter Boutique, the new one-day-festival. -If anyone wants a German or French translation please ask me, but I hink English is allright ?- (Less)
