Évoque la rencontre entre les Amérindiens et les nouveaux arrivants européens, il y a quatre siècles.
Pour la réalisation de ce projet, l'Arsenal à musique et l'OSQ s'associent à Harold Rhéaume, directeur artistique du Fils d'Adrien danse, qui fera la chorégraphie de ce conte sur un texte original de Christine Sioui Wawanoloath et une musique de Denis Dion. Un concept multimédia, réalisé par Jacques Collin de l'équipe de Robert Lepage, ajoutera une touche de modernité et de poésie bien particulière au spectacle.
Une rencontre déterminante
Ce conte wabanaki relate la rencontre du peuple du soleil levant avec des étrangers venus de la mer à bord d'un grand navire.
À leur arrivée, les marins sont bien accueillis par le Clan des oiseaux.
Tidesso et Sasaso, deux jeunes intrépides qui les guideront dans leur quête d'or et de diamants, laissent même parents et amis pour se joindre à
l'équipage. Lorsque le capitaine tue un oiseau avec son arme à feu, les jeunes gens, horrifiés, se sauvent et rentrent chez eux. Les nouveaux venus devront alors faire face à un terrible ouragan commandé par Michabo, le créateur du monde. Les étrangers reviendront, mais la vie ne sera plus jamais comme avant. Avec le temps, Amérindiens et Européens apprendront à vivre ensemble. Et le Clan des oiseaux continuera à chanter et à danser...
The Bird Clan
Based on the theme of encounter, the same theme as Quebec City's 400th anniversary celebrations, The Bird Clan evokes the first meeting between the First Nations and the European explorers, four centuries ago. For this project, Arsenal à musique and the OSQ have chosen to work with Harold Rhéaume, the artistic director of the company Fils d'Adrien danse, who has created a choreography for this story based on an original text by Christine Sioui Wawanoloath and with music by Denis Dion. A multimedia concept by Jacques Collin (who works with Robert Lepage) lends a touch of modernity and a distinct poetic air to the production.
A decisive encounter
This Wabanaki legend tells the story about how the people of the land of the rising sun first met the strangers who came from the sea on a big boat. Upon their arrival, the sailors are well received by the Bird Clan. Tidesso and Sasaso, two young and intrepid members of the clan, leave their friends and family to lead the new arrivals in their quest for gold and diamonds. But when the captain kills a bird with his gun, the young people, horrified, take flight and return home. The sailors are then subjected to a terrible storm, conjured up by Michabo, the creator of the world. The strangers will come back, but life will never be the same. In time, the First Nations and the Europeans will learn to live together. And the Bird Clan will continue to sing and dance...
La Tribù delle Aquile
Scritto sul tema dell' INCONTRO intorno al quale si articolano i festeggiamenti per il 400mo anniversario della fondazione della città di Québec.
La Tribù delle Aquile evoca l'incontro tra gli Amerindiani e i nuovi arrivati europei, quattro secoli fa. Questo racconto Wabenaki parla dell'incontro del Popolo del Sole Levante con gli stranieri venuti dal mare a bordo di una gran nave. Al loro arrivo i marinai sono ben accolti dalla Tribù delle Aquile. Tidesso e Sasaso, due giovani intrepidi, li guideranno nella loro ricerca di oro e diamanti, lasciando persino parenti e amici per unirsi all'equipaggio. Quando il capitano ammazza un'uccello con il suo fucile, i ragazzi inorriditi, scappano e tornano a casa loro. I nuovi arrivati dovranno affrontare un terribile uragano comandato da Michabo, il creatore del mondo. Gli stranieri torneranno, ma la vita non sarà mai più come prima...
Per le celebrazioni di questo 400esimo l'Orchestra Sinfonica di Québec e l'Arsenal à musique si riuniscono in sinergia sotto la direzione Richard Lee, Harold Rhéaume, direttore artistico di Fils d'Adrien danse, che cura la coreografia di questo racconto su un testo originale di Christine Sioui Wawanoloath e una musica di Denis Dion.
Un concetto multimédia, realizzato da Jacques Collin dell'équipe di Robert Lepage, aggiungerà un tocco di modernità e di poesia propria allo spettacolo.
Un incontro determinante sia sul profilo artistico che didattico-pedagogico.
La Tribù delle Aquile multimediale
L'utilizzazione di disegni animati permette allo spettatore di entrare in un mondo fantastico dove le immagini, che interagiscono con gli artisti, sono proiettate su di uno doppio schermo gigante, il primo, trasparente è posto tra il pubblico e gli artisti, il secondo sul fondo scena. Grazie a questa tecnica la scenografia e i personaggi appaiono come sospesi in aria, creando degli effetti tridimensionali estremamente suggestivi.
Gli artisti multimediali del Québec sono riconosciuti mondialmente come leader nella loro arte, sviluppando un discorso tecnologico altamente originale. (Less)
