Bar bending workers holding roses
Heads lowered to have a sniff, like crouching tigers
Hundreds, thousands of bars lifted adrift in a day's dance
Coming home in the evening, speechless with wives and children weeping low
The sun could be blazing but pays no mind
The sweats are like rain and pains like hailstones
This fire in the workers blazes sky
A flower would crush a tower million feet high
To the Bar Bending Workers

Today let us learn anew about the bodies
Through your arms, those which putting down steel and iron rods
Bones and flesh that which entering atmosphere as of here
Right, the air that mediates light, adrift between presence and absence, floats direction-less
And you are the beings, who turn light into something solid in the darkest pitch, are you?
No, life--- when that bone, that flesh touches upon light, when that light being stammered into the blood of a darker place.
The world is broken and stacked up when our blood is here, and not here
The woods reach out like muted hand-signs, lakes are turned into dumping grounds, rivers severed like tongues being cut
And the oceans are being filled up, filling up and filling up like a cholesterol ridden heart
Behind the lightnings and thunders, our red and blue are pasted in a hush
So let us learn anew our bodies with sweating glands all over our backs
They shall be extended to the outer most of the universe, there, the air is sickening thin, but they will paste there
With eyes looking forward like quickening thunder bolts, seeing dark clouds condense into a rainstorm
Behold mountains' risings from earth, with coals and mines protruding outwards
Thus is iron, and the dark swirl amidst
To the Bar Bending Workers #2
The day with its hasty colors, clouded with thoughts

Upon Tin Kwong Road
Leaving the world asunder
Please, give me the cracks between rays
When the day is drained
When stars are hid by the whiteness of the day
We leap forward seizing the joys of the souls
The songs we sing on Tin Kwong Road moved aside tons of iron
Life reveals to us between mountains, vivid in its own right
Endure, this intolerable heat of a summer in blaze
Now, upon Tin Kwong Road,
Waves and bubbles in imminence
As well as the long endured cold of the winter
--- Implicit in the unbearable heat, dark and dumb
But now, upon Tin Kwong Road
Metal meets and melts into bond in the name of a shadow
Gathering force in digging into the cold (Less)

It tells the story of Michael Kiriakos, a young man who is forced to confront his family's most terrible secret, in order for him to move forward with his own life. After his father dies, he discovers a box of letters from his grandmother Rose, whom his father had told him was long dead. Michael finds her, and as they establish a relationship, Rose begins reveals the truth about Michael's family: that he is Armenian, not Greek, and that his family, like many Armenians, was destroyed by the Turks in the early part of the century.
As they become closer, Michael's wife's pregnancy advances and events begin to collide. The play climaxes when Rose tells him the final secret, a dark sacrifice that has cursed the family ever since. Once he learns the truth, Michael realizes he must summon all his strength to end the curse once and for all.
