Je prohrou politiků, že při diskuzi o směrnici převážil strach z mezinárodní konkurence a obava o tzv. sociální standardy nad vizí prosperující Unie s volným pohybem osob a služeb. Je také prohrou politiků, že zapomněli, že zdrojem rozvoje ekonomiky je konkurence a že sociální standard je bonusem prosperity, nikoliv jejím tvůrcem. Jsem přesvědčená, že populistickým a ve své podstatě zbabělým vypuštěním pilíře směrnice, tedy principu země původu, jsme promarnili šanci na razantní zvýšení životní úrovně občanů. Promarnili jsme šanci na zvýšení nabídky služeb, snížení cen a vytvoření nových pracovních míst. (Less)
