Toto - Rosanna
Toto est un groupe de rock américain créé en 1977 par le batteur Jeff Porcaro, (More) Toto est un groupe de rock américain créé en 1977 par le batteur Jeff Porcaro, fils du percussionniste Joe Porcaro, et par le claviériste David Paich, fils du chef d'orchestre Marty Paich. Steve Porcaro, le frère de Jeff, les rejoint aux claviers, ainsi que Steve Lukather à la guitare, Bobby Kimball au chant et David Hungate à la basse. Toto connaît un grand succès en 1982 avec son album Toto IV. Cette même année, David Hungate est remplacé par un des frères Porcaro : Mike. Le chanteur Bobby Kimball quitte le groupe en 1984 pour être remplacé par Fergie Frederiksen. En 1986 c'est Joseph Williams, le fils du célèbre compositeur John Williams, qui lui succède jusqu'en 1990. Un autre chanteur du nom de Jean Michel Byron est imposé par la maison de disques pour les nouvelles chansons de l'album Past to Present mais va rester moins d'un an, et c'est ensuite le guitariste du groupe Steve Lukather qui se charge du chant. En 1992 le groupe doit affronter le décès de Jeff Porcaro quelques jours avant la sortie de Kingdom Of Desire (il succombe à une allergie provoquée par l'utilisation d'un désherbant). C'est l'Anglais Simon Phillips qui lui succède et devient le batteur officiel du groupe. En 2006 est sorti leur dix-septième album studio, Falling in Between, suivi d'une tournée mondiale de deux ans.
