We went kayaking to the Mokulua Islands off Lanikai Beach, and once we arrived, he decided to kayak surf between the two islands. My waterproof camera doesn't have the greatest zoom, so some of the images are blurry. Enjoy the video! (Less)

An example is Ko Kai or Egg Islands -- two islands Yai and Noi, big and small, near each other, in the southern west part of Phang Nga Bay just 15 minutes by speedboat from a marina or port near Phuket city. There are some pleasant small beaches facing different directions with fantastic views, and if you just want to relax and soak up some rays of sunshine, there are also small huts serving food and drinks most of the day. Near the beaches the fish are abundant and lively here, probably because they are overfed by visitors, but it is best to just look not feed them so they return to their natural habitats. There are several great coral reefs further off the beaches in deeper waters near the islands and you should be able to find a sheltered side whichever way the wind is blowing. However because these islands are so popular for day trippers & snorkellors, it is best to try to get there early or late to avoid the crowds. Another alternative even if it starts to rain, is to head to the Pearl & oyster farms and restaurants on bigger islands like Ko Rang Yai or Ko Naka Yai, further north in Phang Nga Bay but sill only 15 minutes from a marina on Phuket. These Indian newspaper journalists who recently visited the northern part of the Bay on board a luxury yacht trip were very impressed by the islands and stunning landscapes of the limestone cliffs which soar up out of the flat calm emerald green sea. Even though they didn't have time to go swimming, they would still recommend their millions of readers to come explore the wonders of Phang Nga Bay: The further north and east you go into Phang-Nga Bay the calmer and more relaxing it becomes, giving you a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy Phuket, and escape the winds of change on its west coast.
