Negima! English Dub / Japanese Dub Voice Comparison: Part 7 This is it! The final video of my Negima! English/Japanese Comparison Project! I'm glad (More) This is it! The final video of my Negima! English/Japanese Comparison Project! I'm glad it's finally done and over with! True to my word, I made the video last for the entire ten minute limit. It was a pleasure to create these videos for the fans out there who've wanted to know the differences between the two versions. Heck, it helped me out a lot to actually remember what they sound like so I can imagine the voices when I'm reading the manga. Sorry for not including Seruhiko or Chachazero, but I couldn't find the seiyuu or voice actor/actress's name from one version or the other.
If I made a mistake in a name (I wasn't sure about Eiko's seiyuu, the credits weren't exactly straightforward. And about Anya's last name, it hasn't been officially translated for the English manga yet, so it might vary later), I apologize, but this took a long time for me to create and I really don't want to have to do this all over again, so deal with it. ;P
Since this is most likely my last Negima! video (unless I decide to do a Love Hina/Negima crossover similar to the KH Ultimate Team-Up series), I decided to wrap things up by ending with "Happy Material: Version 7: 31 Girl Version." I also decided to stick in two final bloopers in the video. Not going to say where, but let's just say I wish Negi would say that to the character in the manga. Especially since Negi's been getting screwed by him since we've met the guy.

"So, who do you think fits better..."
...that's what I would usually ask, but I already know there's some conflict out there about Negi's voice.
Half of the Negima! fans seem to hate Negi's English VA and the other half seem to love him because he's voiced by Greg Ayres. So, I'm going to put out this second question for sake of argument:
"Which would you prefer:
Rina Satou: a female seiyuu playing a ten year-old male who doesn't seem to have the British accent or that sweet "echo" effect when spellcasting that we expect from Negi?
OR
Greg Ayres: the ONLY male voice actor playing the ten year-old male who does a decent British accent and has the "echo" effect during spellcasting, but sounds like he's reached early puberty?"
The accent or the voice pitch? That's the question.
Other than that issue, what do you think about the other characters?
EDIT: Judging by a few of the comments, I realize I should've chosen better scenes for Negi due to Greg Ayres voice sounding different between the beginning and the ending of the series. I took his samples only from the 1st and 7th episode. In short, I didn't give good enough samples and I apologize.
BTW, I know someone's going to ask so I'm going to answer right now:
1. I did not download any of these clips! I bought and own all 6 U.S. DVD releases! ($120 @ Best Buy)
2. Just because I own the English Dub DVDs, I WILL NOT and CAN NOT upload any of the episodes. I've seen what happens to people who do and I'm not willing to take that risk.
