TKPR 2-1 Des' Friends (2nd Leg) Des' Friends must have been wondering how they managed to lose a match they had mostly (More) Des' Friends must have been wondering how they managed to lose a match they had mostly dominated as TKPR rode their luck to go away 2-1 victors from a hotly-contested match on the Bt Timah Field.
The win was even more impressive when you consider the last-minute absence of Kenneth, Justin and Abel, which meant TKPR had only 2 players on the bench.
Starting Lineup 4-4-2:

The match had a professional look to it when the referee brought along two linesman and even demanded all the players to be properly equipped with shinpads but luckily he relented and allowed play to continue.
Meanwhile, the TKPR cameramen were back in action after a 6-month layoff and they need not wait long for their side's 1st goal to arrive in the 20th minute.
Mun Shiun, who did not play in the 1st leg, fired in a teasing cross into the box which was missed by 2 opposing defenders - allowing Chee Siang to easily slot home for 1-0.
However, it could have been 1-0 to the opponents had their striker - given acres of space, no thanks to some atrocious marking from a freekick - taken his chance instead of blazing over from 6 yards.
Goal #2 came in the 23rd minute and if you have winger Mun Shiun in your Fantasy Football squad, you will be be big winner of the week as he added a goal to his previous assist.
Huican's visionary through-pass set him up nicely to smash a screamer into the far corner.
Tay connected with a header from a corner but it lacked power to trouble the opposing goalie as TKPR brought a comfortable 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
But predictably, TKPR lapsed into their tradition of allowing their opponents to pull one back - and did it come in style 20 minutes into the 2nd half via a long range freekick which left GK Teo flapping at thin air.
It was the Teo show from then on as the opponents' attacks came wave after wave.
Miscommunication between LG and SB allowed an opponent a free shot at goal but Teo blocked it impressively to preserve his team's slender lead.
However, Teo almost turned villian when he fumbled a straight-forward shot through his legs but fortunately, the ball went wide.
From the resulting corner, Tay denied Desmond by clearing the ball from under his own crossbar after an opponent headed the ball across the goalmouth.
Just when Des' Friends thought they had finally scored, the post denied them when their striker's shot had seemingly left Teo rooted to the spot.
TKPR had their task made more difficult when Chee Siang(ankle) and Mun Shiun(cramps) had to separately go off due to injuries but eventually, they still managed to hold on till full time for their 2nd consecutive win over Des' Friends.
